Our 2016 Writer in Residence has been announced!

St. Albert Public Library is thrilled to announce that Marty Chan will be our 2016 Metro Federation Writer in Residence!

Marty will start his residency at Strathcona County Library (Jan-Apr), move on to Fort Saskatchewan Public Library (May-June), and join us in St. Albert at the end of the summer.

Wayne Arthurson will be the Metro Writer in Residence for Edmonton Public Library in 2016.

Marty ChanA bit about Marty Chan:

Marty Chan has written books, stage plays, radio dramas, television scripts and humour articles. He won the 2005 City of Edmonton Book Prize for this first middle-grade novel, The Mystery of the Frozen Brains and received a Gemini nomination for his TV pilot, The Orange Seed Myth. His plays and TV shows have been seen around the world, but he continues to live and work in Edmonton with his wife Michelle and their two cats, Buddy and Max.
