Getting a Library Card: Welcome to the Library

Joining the Library takes just a few minutes at the Customer Service desk on the main floor of the Library. You must present valid identification and proof of address. If you’re under 18 please bring your parent or guardian with you.

The details:

  •     The St. Albert Public Library has an individual membership system.
  •     One permanent barcode card is issued per patron, each with a unique barcode number.
  •     You must present a valid library card at each check out or renewal.
  •     Memberships can not be opened or renewed in the last 15 minutes before closing.

Renewing Your St. Albert Library Membership

  •     You can renew your membership in person by presenting your library card and current valid                   identification.
  •     Telephone renewals can be done with payment accepted via credit card.
  •     Online membership renewals are not available at this time.
