DAISY Talking Books
DAISY books (Digital Accessible Information System) contains the entire book on one disc with the ability to increase or decrease narration speed and tone. DAISY books play on a DAISY player which also plays regular CD books and music CDs.
Any Library member with a print disability, which includes learning, physical or visucal can access DAISY books.
DAISY books can be accessed at the St. Albert Public Library, CELA Library or NNELS.
St. Albert Public Library
The Library utilizes the CELA Library to bring in a rotating collection of new titles every few months. The loan period for DAISY materials are three weeks for DAISY books and six weeks for DAISY players.

Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)
Through the St. Albert Public Library, members with a print disability can access materials in accessible formats using CELA services.
The CELA collection can be accessed in many ways including direct downloads or home delivery by mail. With a valid library card, one can sign up for a CELA membership at signup.celalibrary.ca. One can also contact CELA at 1-855-655-2273.

National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS)
NNELS is an online public library of published books in accessible formats for Canadians with a print disability. With a valid designated library card, one can download DAISY books directly from the NNELS site. Check with library staff for details.
