Reading Help

Reading Buddies: Children in grades 2-4 who could benefit from a little support and guidance with their reading will be paired with a trained teen Reading Buddy volunteer to read together. The goal is to help the young buddy improve their confidence and develop a positive attitude toward reading. 

The current reading buddies session is full. Please check back for information on future sessions.

Bookable Buddies: Come to the Jensen Lakes Library and read in a fun and encouraging environment with a friendly Reading Buddy!  Bring your own book or choose one from our collection. For kids in grades 2-4 who could use a little support with their reading.

Choose from one of three 25 minute slots from 6 to 7:30 pm on Thursdays, from January 22 to March 19. Registration can be found on the Library's calendar.

We'll be in the Lions Park on Fridays for a special storytime just for babies. Bring a blanket and join us in a shady spot. 

No registration required.

Geared to babies under 18 months.

Out of This World: The Concealed Cosmos
 
You are an astronaut adventurer who has set out to explore a lost galaxy, The Concealed Cosmos, which has been radio-silent for centuries. As you begin your adventure into the galaxy's outer limits, your radios and navigation suddenly stop working! You discover that this galaxy is home to many alien species, who have lost contact with each other after their Telegems were scattered. Now it’s your job to collect the Telegems and  restore communication throughout the galaxy.
