Reading Help

Reading Buddies: Children in grades 2-4 who could benefit from a little support and guidance with their reading will be paired with a trained teen Reading Buddy volunteer to read together. The goal is to help the young buddy improve their confidence and develop a positive attitude toward reading.

The Reading Buddies program is currently full. Please check back here for information on future offerings of the program.

Join us for a fun filled family storytime every Tuesday at the Further Education office (next to The Bay) in the St. Albert Centre.

We'll have storytime at 10:30 followed by playtime and activities.

Storytime is the perfect way to introduce your children to reading and includes elements of the Every Child Ready to Read program. This program introduces early literacy skills through reading, playing, talking, writing, and singing.

The is an all ages family program.

A special storytime for babies, their caregivers, and seniors!

Stories, songs, tickles, and bounces are the perfect way to have fun with your baby and connect with other parents. We'll be sharing our baby program with the seniors at the Everitt Gardens retirement residence. This is a great way to build connections between our youngest and oldest residents. 

This program will be geared to children under 18 months, siblings are welcome.
